Executive Team
Amy Stephens
Founder & CEO
Amy had two tickets to see The Producers Labor Day weekend 2001 just before 9/11. She decided to sell them on eBay and visit her sister instead. That worked out really well. Less than a year later, Amy’s first child, Grace, was born. She quit her job teaching middle school in Alpharetta, Georgia so she could stay home with Grace. Less than a week after Grace’s birth, she cleared her savings account to buy a 20-game pack to the Anaheim Angels games. The pack included the postseason games and the Angels went on to win the World Series by defeating Barry Bonds and the Giants in seven games. Amy’s Tickets was officially born.
Amy sold primarily baseball and college football tickets on eBay from 2002-2005 but then found StubHub in August of 2005. In 2009, Amy attended the most prestigious pro golf tournament in Augusta, Georgia for the first time and fell in love. She lost money on the event because of the economy being in the tank but she now had a vision for Augusta. Since then, Amy has bought 10 houses near the tournament hub and entertains almost 500 people a day annually in Augusta.
Amy still thinks of herself as a stay-at-home mom with Grace and Drew now at the University of Georgia and two kids still at home.
When asked what separates her from the competition, she states, “I have developed personal relationships with my customers, and they know they can depend on excellent customer service consistently. Even in 2020 when Covid hit, I tried to refund every single person’s purchase within a few months of everything shutting down. It was not easy but it was the right thing to do.” Amy’s VIP Events now has five staff members of which three are ladies.
